The Technical BA will be a senior member within an organization employing an agile approach to development. The BA will operate as the main liaison with stakeholders for the purposes of both gathering requirements but also be a part of ongoing decisions regarding the platforms and systems they are responsible for including assisting with roadmap design and issue management. In addition, a key component of the role will include assisting Project Managers in the delivery of projects- to specification and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capturing business requirements and documenting business processes
  • Capturing requirements using a user story format to support Agile base design and project tracking
  • Creation of High Level Technical Designs that will assist developers in completing their tasks (ie Data Models, Sequence Diagrams, Process Flows, Pseudocode)
  • Assist with the creation of test cases to enable high quality deliveries and aid test driven development
  • Work collaboratively with Product Owners to identify a minimum viable product
  • Create design documentation for the solution in line with company guidelines
  • Support the implementation of projects across different business functions
  • Assist with UAT to ensure that accurate testing and acceptance of the solution by the business users
  • Identify opportunities for improving business processes through information systems and/or business process improvement and assist in the preparation of proposals to implement these changes.
Essential Skills
  • Ideally, at least three years experience with agile product development
  • Strong technical acumen to support critical thinking and aid in conversing with architects and developers
  • Ability to negotiate without being adversarial
  • Proven track record of managing and launching initiatives
  • Good stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to perform duties independently and under minimal supervision within specific assignments
  • Expert ability to analyse, evaluate and document business processes and procedures
  • Excellent written and spoken English to allow for accurate and efficient communication with stakeholders and other staff
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills to allow for the handling of multiple and parallel projects
  • Intermediate experience in analysing and designing data models and APIs
  • Intermediate experience with online documentation tools such as Confluence and Gliffy
  • Intermediate experience with the agile project management platforms such as Jira

Desirable Skills
  • Experience dealing with global teams
  • Experience in CRM and Foreign Exchange industry
