My client is a world leader in the optics and photonics industry and now seek an experienced Program Manger to implement Industry 4.0 strategies for advanced manufacturing

  • Strategize, design, implement and launch advanced manufacturing (systems and processes; hardware and analytics) strategies and aim to be the most productive and globally optimized photonics manufacturing network
  • Assume role of a technical leader for Factory 4.0 solutions
  • Drive CI and Lean Six Sigma management planning and execution in partnership with local leadership
  • Provide support for advanced manufacturing and technology transfer strategic initiatives
  • Provide business data analytics and statistical analysis support to lean six sigma CI and advanced manufacturing projects
  • Develop executive level and site level data visualization platforms to ensure factory’s productivity and operations excellence are tracked and aligned with advanced manufacturing strategic initiatives
  • Improve, streamline, and automate manufacturing processes and systems of measure
  • Work on advanced manufacturing projects with local engineering teams at factories and with external suppliers
  • Liaise with IT and manufacturing, contribute to overall architectural design of OEE monitoring platforms, SAP systems and database design

  • Masters or PhD in Science or Engineering with a demonstrated academic record of excellence and 10 – 12 years’ experience in a relevant environment
  • Solid engineering experience in a high volume manufacturing environment, especially in process engineering, equipment engineering, and hardware/software automation engineering, within the semiconductor/optics/photonics industry
  • Prior experience in managing engineering teams in high volume manufacturing environments
  • Expertise in lean six sigma continuous improvement projects in a high volume manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in statistical process control (SPC) ideation, optimization, and implementation
  • Stronghold with Excel, JMP, R, Tableau and/or Python to automate complex analysis; comfortable with script writing and dashboard design/creations
  • Experience in Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
  • Demonstrated track record of hands-on experience and ownership around manufacturing equipment and process modules
