My client is a world leader in surveying, mapping and geospatial equipment and now seek an experienced Regional Technical Support Engineer to join them Responsibilities: Develop and maintain a strong technical knowledge of the use of Surveying and Engineering instrumentation Understand customer applications and dataflow requirement within the region Audit technical skills of dealer personnel as well as suggestion and implement plans to improve dealer personnel technical skills Provide technical support, technical training and pre and post-sales support to all customers across the region Ensure close collaboration with customers in pilot tests to validate technology Manage training materials and provide technical support for dealers and direct customers – both hardware and software issues Active involvement at every step and work closely with sales teams to provide latest material and create necessary leads Provide input into responses to large tenders as required Provide 2nd level support to dealers and/or direct sales people Provide technical support for licensing issues and act as administrator for temporary licenses Manage all technical support and provide guidance on new equipment Prepare standard quotes and proposals and ensure on-site technical support and training for new and existing customers Provide input into the regional customer database (CRM – currently Salesforce) Attend regional exhibitions as required Conduct technical sales presentations as required Develop and maintain a strong network with Business Unit application engineering staff Prepare monthly progress reports showing incident volume and traceability for licenses Requirements: Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Geodetic Engineering or equivalent with 5 – 10 years’ of working experience A minimum of 5 years of practical working experience within the Survey and Engineering industry Good understanding and knowledge in any of the following: GNSS Post Processing laser scanning, Total Station, Light detection and ranging (LiDAR), mapping, surveying remote sensing and GIS processing Knowledge of 3D AutoCAD and Microstation Ground Penetration Radar Knowledge would be a big plus Prior experience with technical support and customer service would be a big plus Regional Travel (about 50%) Please send your resume in WORD format by clicking the apply button below or contact Abhik Damani on +65 6701 1527 for a confidential discussion.
