Business Function

Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

  • Drive and evolve the platform roadmap; features and capabilities with a focus on real time digital experimentation and customer intervention 
  • Deep understand of our customers and digital channels, business challenges to solve, and to advocate a data-driven approach towards predictive / prescriptive analytics at scale
  • Ensures hypotheses driven experiments are designed, conducted and analysed in an effective manner, developing insights and recommendations that will lead to meeting KPIs
  • Collaborate with technology to develop the front and back ends of a scalable experimentation platform to support data intake all the way to tracking of performance
  • Maintain the product backlog, with detailed, actionable, and prioritized epics, features, and user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Represents the customer in sprints to the data analytics / technology / engineering teams and provides sprint prioritization to ensure technology alignment with business priorities and strategies
  • Maintain a close relationship with customers and stakeholders to comprehend and communicate their needs and participate in validation of the solutions
  • Works closely with key stakeholders to understand, build and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmaps that are aligned with DBS's strategies and initiatives
  • Measures and reports on the value provided by the platform and provides regular updates to stakeholders on product priority, delivery, and adoption
  • Provides customer service to our technology and business partners for on-boarding, adoption, and documentation of product
  • Stays current with industry trends and employs a continuous improvement methodology
  • At least a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Sciences, Business, or Engineering
  • 12+ years of experience in related roles, of which:
    • 6+ years of experience as a Product Owner, with deep experience in Agile methodology
    • 6+ years of experience executing quantitative analysis on digital apps, digital commerce, or digital marketing
    • 6+ years of experience in data driven approaches and good understanding of advanced analytics
  • Foundational strength:
    • You have stories you could share about what problems you thought you were solving at first, but through testing and iteration, came to solve a much bigger and better problem that resulted in positive outcomes all-around
    • Experienced in collaborating with business partners, owning a product roadmap, and determining backlog priority across multiple stakeholders
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to reconcile external and internal data sources, ability to understand, interpret and apply advanced analytics to solve business issues
    • Exhibit professional initiative and entrepreneurial drive
    • Fast learner and comfortable with and on advocating change
  • Ability to do a lot of things well:

    • Balances business and technical savvy skills, a big picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality through daily execution
    • Balances between achieving strategic business goals and complex tactical objectives
