J.P. Morgan Chase Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Technology recognizes the strategic importance of Asia Pacific not only as a revenue generator but as a critical engine room for delivery of technology services across Markets, Investor Services and Banking. ASEAN (Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Philippines) is a key market within the region and the firm is hiring Application Manager of Payments Technology based in Singapore. The remit of the role comprises of the following
  • Drive the delivery of critical technology projects and technology solution alongside supporting the existing technology landscape for the highly dynamic local business needs
  • Act as the primary liaison between technology and the business. He/she will be helping manager as face-off between the Business (Sales, Product, Operations, and Client Services) and technology teams within JPMorgan to drive business tech solutions.
  • Support day-to-day technology related matter for Payment business and key external partners (regulatory bodies, partner banks, and vendors). Assists Production Management team during non-office hours if help require from them.
  • Oversee/execute projects delivery for expansion of business in ASEAN and manage escalations related to these
  • Own local applications as local owner, support the availability and stability of the local/regional/global technology infrastructure.
  • Minor application development work which mainly need to handle application installation provide by vendor or regulator.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering
  • At least 3 years of proven technology experience managing complex client demand, driving technology solutions and meeting business and client expectations as an Application Owner.
  • At least 3 years in Application Developer, Network knowledge and Infrastructure knowledge (Unix, Window, MQ, Web , SFTP, NDM, SSL, HSM, etc)
  • Intermediate background knowledge in banking domain especially in Banking landscape. (High Value Payment, Low Value Payment, SWIFT, Real Time Payment, Collection, Cheque Clearing, Tax Payment, Partner Bank system, etc)
  • Strong collaborator with ability to foster relationships effectively with diverse groups across geographies. Adaptable and able to multi-task, handling complex requirements.
  • Strong experience in financial services, with a sound understanding of Banking and/or related businesses.
  • Understanding of Waterfall and Agile methods stakeholder management budget management, risk management and operations
  • Understanding of global and line of business project and program management standards and methods, and ability to accurately interpret business direction and clarify technology's alignment
  • Proven Self-starter with initiative, accountability, and ability to work independently as well as collaborate with the team, locally, regionally, and globally.
  • Having some experience to work with regulator
  • Prefers someone who is able to speak Indonesian Bahasa as the role will need to support the Indonesian market.
