Job Description

This role focuses on Data Centre Asset Management and Investment. The key areas of responsibilities include all acquisition and asset management activities for the Fund. The key objective of this role will be to support the growth of the Data Centre Fund of the business. The successful candidate will possess at least 4 years relevant experience in investment and possess a degree in Business/Estate Management/Accountancy.
Responsibilities in Asset Management: 

  • Develop and recommend strategies to maximize performance and enhance assets with directions set by senior management
  • Formulate action plans with marketing and property management to meet the strategies developed
  • Assess revenues and expenses with review of actual performance against budget and strategies
  • Implement Asset Plan, monitor progress of new built, asset enhancement works and to oversee and coordinate the actions of the facilities and project manager
  • Consolidate and analyse data at individual property and portfolio level for periodic and ad hoc result announcements / investor meetings
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly variance analysis and reports
  • Support Financing and Re-financing activities
  • Prepare annual budgets, conduct Hold-sell and prepare annual Asset Plan
  • Support divestment activities

Responsibilities as Investment: 
  • Assist in sourcing and analyze investment opportunities; structuring and executing the acquisition of data centre assets or land for data centre construction
  • Conduct financial modelling to assess / support acquisitions; present financial analysis to key stakeholders
  • Conduct and coordinate legal, tax, technical & financial due diligence for assets to be acquired, working with external advisers/ consultants
  • Preparation of investment papers, presentations and other materials as required
  • Review legal documents;
  • Prepare regular sector research to keep appraised of updated trends and market news/information including the review and analysis of financial, market information and analyst reports
  • Any other duties as assigned
  • Minimum Degree in Business, Real Estate Management or equivalent from a good university
  • Existing experience in either of: investment management / private equity / funds management / investment banking is essential
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience including conducting investment / financial / commercial due diligence
  • Data Centre technical knowledge and experiences will be an added advantage
  • Experience in the data centre and/or real estate industry is preferred but not essential
  • Good report writing, verbal, financial modelling and presentation skills
  • Independent and able to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
