Manulife Actuarial team is looking for an analytical junior actuary, who is obsessed with delivering value, is forward-thinking, and excited to contribute the success of the IFRS 17 implementation. We are looking for a dynamic individual, who has an independent mindset and the drive to succeed

We are looking for someone with: 
•             Great support assisting to confirm IFRS 17 assumptions for modelling and reporting implementation
•             Ability to provide advisory, local knowledge, hands-on support and ownership to ensure IFRS17 in-scope solution is compliant to the reporting requirements
•             Ability to make working level decisions / escalate as appropriate to facilitate project progress
•             Great analytic skills to prepare and review impact analysis and financial plan
•             Capability to support policy decisions and refinements
•             Support on strategy decision making and education lobbying
•             Strong technical background
Nice to Haves:  
•             2 – 5 years of working experience in actuarial field
•             Good progress of actuarial exams
•             A strong and reliable team player that has ability to manage change, as well as able to work independently
•             An effective communicator and good interpersonal skills
•             Knowledge in IFRS17 / valuation reporting would be an asset
•             Knowledge on Axis is preferred
•             Microsoft office
On the job you will: 
•             Get the hands-on project management experience and work closely between counterparts in Regional office and local business unit.
•             Provide technical interpretation to ensure compliance to the standard and alignment to TRG discussion paper.
•             Develop in-dept IFRS17 experience by resolving IFRS17 issues from technical and operational perspectives.
•             Support various financial analysis and planning activities including but not limited to Opening Balance Sheet, Business Plan and parallel runs.
•             Perform checking control on IFRS17 system implementation as well as developing the end-to-end financial reporting process.
