Job Description

Job Description As Assistant Manager, you will assist the Chief Financial Officer of SingHealth Community Hospitals (SCH) in matters relating to the following areas:
Bright Vision Hospital (BVH) Financials
You will ensure Month-End and Year-End closings are done as per timeline and the financials are captured accurately. You will prepare monthly and annual financial statements and management reports for BVH with comparative and trend analysis. You will review and approve GL journal entries to be posted into the SAP system. You will coordinate the annual audit process with external auditors, and review audit pack submissions and audited financial statement. You will support finance matters relating to the BVH Board meetings and BVH Audit and Risk Committee (ARC) meetings and be the secretariat for BVH ARC Meetings. You will ensure reports comply with financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements, and processes are in place to support any changes or additions to the financial reporting standards. You will work closely with relevant authorities when implementing new regulatory requirements.
BVH Budget
You will prepare budget templates, coordinate the budget process for BVH’s business units, and consolidate and review budget returns. You will prepare and present materials for budget review and approval by Management and communicate to users regarding budget matters.
SCH Grant Management
You will lead the engagement with SCH stakeholders to develop budgets required to seek external funding to support Research and Non-Research programmes. You will manage the budgets once external funding is obtained and ensures timely and accurate claims and financial reports to funding agencies. You will provide financial insights to SCH stakeholders to optimize budgets and ensure financial sustainability of the external funded programmes. You will coordinate with auditors on matters relating to external funded programmes.
SCH Value Driven Care and Bundled Care Projects
You will provide financial analysis for various Value Driven Care and Bundled Care projects and provide financial insights to users to optimize cost of patient care.
You will work on projects as and when assigned by supervisor and be involved in leading and managing staff reporting to you.
Job Requirements Job Requirements
  • Degree in Accountancy or equivalent with at least 6 years of relevant experience, including 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Membership to professional body e.g. ISCA, ACCA is preferred
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and data visualization tools like Tableau
  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Systematic, meticulous and excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Able to manage cross-functional and institutional relationships and get buy-in from stakeholders
  • Adept at handling complex, ambiguous and challenging situations
  • Independent worker with the ability to handle tight deadlines and work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
