Job Description

You support the unit in three areas, i.e. training, forensics and operations. You supervise, track and ensure the unit’s personnel and professionals such as crime scene officers, digital forensic attend professional courses and trainings regularly, and are maintaining their currency in their respective fields/specialisations. As the subject matter expert for all conventional and digital forensic matters, you ensure all forensic, digital laboratories, training facilities, and equipment are properly maintained and refreshed based on operational requirements. You also offer professional support and advice in unit investigations, and ensure the quality of all forensic reports produced by the Investigation Officers (IO). In terms of operations, you supervise and manage the unit’s funds, IT equipment, the exhibit room and the liaison office. Your challenge lies in constantly updating yourself on the latest forensic technologies and ensure the relevancy of the unit’s forensic capabilities.

You must have a tertiary qualification preferably in Life Sciences, like Biomedical and Biotechnology, or related discipline, with at least 6 years of work experience in a related field. Having proficiency in a forensics-related specialisation is advantageous. You must have a passion in investigative and forensic work, and be able to multitask. Some overseas travel may be required.
