Business Function
Here at the OCBC Market Research Team, we are a team of experts who are deeply embedded in the Bank’s business units’ decision-making process, utilizing consumer and data driven insights to drive better business decisions.
We are looking for an outstanding individual to be part of our team to build deep expertise in the area of behavioural economics/science, and the ideal candidate will have a Masters/Phd in behavioural science who can translate complex information into transformative insight-based solutions using behavioral science/nudges.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with various business functions to help them understand problems from a behavioural science angle
• Design and conduct research, with a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods, bringing in deep thinking in psychology, neuroscience or behavioural science. These insights are used in plethora of research that includes scanning the environment for business opportunities, new products/channel development and customer satisfaction.
• Provide thought leadership within the bank in the Behavioural Science space and the go-to expert for behavioural science insights. Build up a knowledge repository of behavioral change strategies, tools and frameworks.
• Present compelling findings to internal stakeholders and senior management. Facilitate workshops and trainings that build Behavioural Science awareness and capabilities within OCBC Bank Qualifications
Requirements
• Master’s / PhD in a field related to Behavioural Science preferred (e.g. Behavioural Economics. Behavioural Sciences, Consumer Psychology, Psychology or Neuroscience)
• Deep grasp over concepts of behavioural science
• At least 5-8 years’ relevant working experience with a proven track record of leveraging behavioral science to drive behavior change and business impact. We will consider an individual with lesser experience with outstanding academic qualifications and demonstrated potential.
• Experience applying BS principles in consumer products and services environments, such as Qualitative and Quantitative Research methods
• Able to analyze and interpret complex data results through simple data visualization into actionable insights and strategies
• A self-starter who is comfortable in dealing with ambiguities and collaborator that flourishes in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
An advantage
• Experience working in Financial services / Fintech is a plus
• Specific skillsets in qualitative or quantitative market research methodologies
• Knowledge of Multi-variate statistics
