This Business Manager role sits within the Finance & Business Management (F&BM) department of the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB). Business Management team acts as a trusted advisor to the business head and optimizes business performance by helping to drive key initiatives. We act as counterweight to Business/Group Heads, and are responsible for identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks.
This position is an Associate level role to drive regional wide initiatives across the business management function.The role is based in Singapore reporting to APAC GCB Business manager lead.
Responsibilities
  • Support the Corporate Banking Senior Management in South Asia to drive revenue growth strategy and business priorities
  • Produce strategic and financial presentations for management review and analysis
  • Lead strategic execution of initiatives for ASEAN Corporate Banking head working closely with country heads, product partners and support teams
  • Drive connectivity between different product groups or across regions to enhance share of wallet across GCB covered products and regularly partner with Bankers and Salespeople to deliver business objectives
  • Oversee client prioritization, pipeline management and deal alerts for Treasury Services products, whilst analyzing key trends and themes for senior audiences
  • Work with the Planning and Analysis to support accurate business analytics, financials and forecasts whilst partnering with other business managers in Asia or globally on shared deliverables
  • Project manage existing and new business initiatives and complete in a timely manner, whilst handling ad-hoc requests.

Requirements
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Finance
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Finance, Strategy or Business Management working in a banking environment
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience covering Corporate Banking
  • Experience of managing senior business stakeholders is added advantage
  • An ability to work independently and under pressure in a very dynamic environment
  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills and problem solving attitude
  • Excellent attention to detail, articulate in written and verbal communication and can present and support their own conclusions to senior audiences
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience in generating high quality PowerPoint documents is required
  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills with an ability to multi-task and dynamically prioritize or adapt with ever-changing and sometimes conflicting demands
  • A thorough understanding and appreciation of risks and controls, with a drive to improve processes and resolve outstanding issues.
