Job Description
  • Oversee and lead the shared services Finance and Administration Cluster.
  • Manage, plan, oversee and ensure the smooth running of all financial and administrative matters to support the SMU Academy.
  • Ensure timely invoicing and collection of course fees from participants.
  • Ensure timely payment of honorarium and invoices to vendors.
  • Perform the role of Budget Coordinator to oversee budgeting exercise, quarterly forecast and monthly revenue reporting.
  • Manage contracts for engagement of trainers.
  • Manage the reporting to agencies on course enrolment and funding.
  • Provide advice on procurement policies and processes.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service.
  • Communicate with partners, institutions, trainers and agencies on relevant matters.
  • Work with the other shared services clusters and business units to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Any other roles and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications
  • Minimum Bachelor Degree, preferably in Finance or Business Administration
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience
  • Familiarity with training programmes and/or grants would be advantageous
  • Ability to manage a team
  • Possess good level of communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possess conflict resolution skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Meticulous, eye for detail
  • Keen on process improvement and efficiency
  • Experience in contract management
  • Experience in SAP will be advantageous
  • Adaptable and flexible
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software
