Job Description

Job Purpose

  • Responsible for matching resource supply to demand and communicating work assignments to consultants and resource owners and consumers. Specifically:
  • Identify and assess resource demand from delivery, presales, and SEA delivery teams for existing and pipeline projects.
  • Review resource availability and assignments to match skills and job levels of resources to project budget and resource needs.
  • Constant communication with stakeholders and status meeting updates
  • Review impact of resourcing decisions on resource utilization, project financials and revenue recognition.
  • Review overall Singapore revenue & utilization forecasts with Delivery management.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Resource Management & Scheduling
  • Work directly with Business Unit Heads and Delivery Managers on resource availability to fulfil existing project demands and resource planning for project pipelines.
  • Assess resources based on project factors, role requirements, expertise and experienced in balancing business needs with Consultant's preferences and career growth and goals.
  • Resolve staffing conflicts for all parties, this includes identifying resourceful staffing solutions and negotiating with projects and practice leads.
  • Ensure a smooth transition for the consultants between project/client engagements.
  • Work together with the recruitment team to fulfil project resource requirements and to provide a smooth onboarding and deployment experience to the new hires.
  • Function as point of contact for all internal resources for any issues, queries and concerns.
  • Handle resource mobility requests and coordinate with all stakeholders; ensure that the right resources are assigned to projects on time and budget.
  • Function as point of contact for resource discussions with Global Delivery Network (GDN).
  • Facilitate weekly staffing meetings with the recruitment team.
  • Own and manage Resource Booking System and prepare monthly utilization reports for Business Unit Heads.
  • Update and maintain internal consultant database (profiles and skillset list) in the system.
  • Provide profile/resume assistance to the pre-sales team for the submission of proposals.
  • Function as administrator for SEA internal resource request system.
  • Function as SharePoint Site-Administrator for Singapore delivery team site.
  • Facilitate requests for a contract extension of existing short-term contractors or conversion to the permanent employee; negotiate with contractors and obtain approvals from relevant stakeholders.
  • Vendor management: facilitate the on-boarding of vendors who are working with consulting team; liaise with legal and finance team to review contract/agreement with vendors and negotiate terms and conditions.
  • Generate and publish resource utilization reports to management and identify gaps between resource demand and utilization.
  • To track Consultants’ compliance to the actual time booked on projects to planned time for KPI reporting

Project Financials and Financial Reporting

  • Work directly with Country/LOB Delivery Heads, Practice Managers and Project Managers to get project effort, revenue recognition forecasts tied to project milestone signoffs.
  • Work directly with Finance to understand actual revenue recognized each month, the backlog for remaining projects and forecast revenue based on project effort forecasts and pipeline projects.
  • To review Financial numbers with Country/LOB Delivery Heads and update revenue and gross margin forecasts and targets as necessary. Multiple scenarios may be needed.
  • To get updates from Project Managers and Practice Managers on project milestone signoffs needed to recognize project forecasted revenue.
  • To track Project Managers and Practice Managers compliance to revenue actuals Vs forecast for KPI reporting.

Education

  • Degree in any field. A degree with exposure to Finance would be an advantage.

Experience

  • 5 + years of resource management and recruitment experience
  • 4 + years operations/personnel coordination/resource scheduling experience
  • 4 + years of managing/reporting project financials
  • 4 + years of financial reporting
  • 3 + years in project management experience would be an added advantage
  • Experience working in IT Consulting/Services companies
