Our client is Asia’s leading media organisation, engaging minds and enriching lives across multiple languages and platforms.The company's core business is publishing of newspapers, magazines and books in both print and digital editions. It also owns other digital products, online classifieds, radio stations and outdoor media.
The Job

  • Oversee, edit and write on-brand and compelling copy across sectors.
  • Create and craft content across various formats for print, digital, social and video platforms.
  • Strategise execution of innovative content strategies across digital and social media channels.
  • Conceptualise campaigns that deliver client messages effectively, and that resonate with the desired audiences.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and clients to develop pitches and brand content campaigns.
  • Work closely with clients, internal stakeholders and other content creators to ensure timely and effective delivery of campaigns following platform best practices.
  • Collaborate with Sales, design, tech and campaign teams to ensure content meets client objectives.
  • Push for creative and innovative ways of storytelling across platforms. Monitor trends in the digital media landscape.
  • Manage and lead small teams, develop talent and mentor junior content creators.
  • Manage freelance writers to ensure copy meets guidelines, is on-brand and delivered on time.
  • Manage projects from start to end.

The Profile

  • You have at least five years of working in a newsroom/agency, producing print, digital and video content.
  • Proficient in Chinese, effectively bilingual (Chinese and English).
  • Experience in video production is a must.
  • Versatile journalist/writer/producer who has covered a range of beats. Knowledge of business, finance, policy and medical/health sectors a plus.
  • Curious, well-read and informed. Able to engage on an intellectual level, but write clearly, succinctly and simply.
  • You have excellent editing and copy-editing skills.
  • Accurate, meticulous, has good editorial judgment and understanding of copyright/libel/media laws and sensitivities.
  • Able to think visually: Have good visual sense, understand how to break content down into digestible parts through stories, graphics, photos, video and other visuals.
  • Able to think digital and social to create compelling narratives.
  • Able to multitask and adapt role to specific project needs.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Is a keen observer of media developments and can adapt quickly to rapid changes in the digital and social landscape.
  • Ability to use data and insights a plus.
  • Efficient, organised, able to meet tight deadlines and work on multiple projects at any time.
  • Strong communicator and team player who can work well with other stakeholders.
