Job Description

Overall Job Objectives:

Cook and deliver well-prepared meals. Ensure good presentation before sending out the dishes. Maintain sanitized, orderly and clean workstations and work areas.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Chop vegetables, prepare meat, weigh and measure ingredients.
  • Assist in the preparation, assembling and cooking of dishes.
  • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
  • Get food items ready for chefs.
  • Assist and cook alongside chefs.
  • Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen and maintain safety and health standards in work areas.
  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
  • Monitor stock and inform Chef when supplies are low.

Job Specifications:

  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Proven experience as cook.
  • Practice good hygiene standards.
  • Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods.
  • Experience in using cutting tools and cookware.
  • Team Player.
