She/he is a crucial contributor to the PACS strategy utilizing innovation in data analytics and market intelligence practice. She/he runs the data analytics projects from discovery to early-stage experiments to production in collaboration with CoE, senior stakeholders, business and technology partners.
Job Description:
  • Facilitate and manage innovation and regulatory-driven enterprise-wide initiatives in the area of data and analytics.
  • Partner with Strategy team and build and lead market intelligence capability on the insurance industry and new business developments in financial services in Singapore and globally.
  • Identify and report potential use cases and solutions, build business cases, perform feasibility studies and prioritization.
  • Identify potential AI, analytics and technology partners and perform due diligence.
  • Solve problems and provide constructive ideas and solutions to challenges across the organization.
  • Educate and collaborate with business units to adopt data analytics solutions and become more data driven.
  • Lead day-to-day development including the build and commercialization of new data products and AI/ML solutions.
  • Manage agile projects delivery with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Build excellent documentation and presentations for different audiences.
  • Lead and coach teams with the latest developments in data analytics

Who we are looking for:
  • Proven track record in leading transformational data science and data analytics projects that bring value
  • Experience in work with developers, data scientist and stakeholders to build AI, data and analytics products and solutions
  • Expertise in building end-to-end solutions, encompassing UI, data, AI & analytics, visualization, cloud infrastructure
  • Experience in agile products and solutions development from inception to deployment
  • Strong project portfolio management skills such as refining business cases, building product roadmaps, prioritization, budget management, staffing
  • Demonstrated experience in market research and value management analysis
  • Strong knowledge of advanced analytics tools and languages to analyse large data sets
  • Practical knowledge of most areas of mathematical analysis methods, machine learning, statistical analyses, and predictive modelling
  • Expertise with large datasets and distributed architectures like Hadoop/Spark and open-source data mining and machine learning frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience in leveraging cloud technologies (preferably Microsoft Azure)
  • Project delivery toolset experience in one or more database tools (preferably SQL) and open source data integration tools (such as Kafka)
  • Experience in advanced analytical (R/Python) and visualization (Qlik, Power BI, Tableau) toolset will be an advantage
  • Strong consulting, presentation and communication skills
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the capacity to devise and implement innovative solutions
  • High energy, driven and entrepreneurial with high tolerance for ambiguity
  • Excellent project management and execution skills
  • Demonstrable experience in successful recruiting, managing, coaching and developing staff

Education:
Masters degree or PhD or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience:
  • 5 years of experience in the space of building data analysis and data analytics products.
  • 10 years of experience working for the Financial Services
  • Knowledge of life insurance industry.
