Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build PCs / laptop with Win 10, Office 365 / Office 2016 and other essential software.
  • Upgrade current win 7 PCs / laptop to win 10 and upgrade Office version.
  • Ensure Office365 products are configured properly and fit for business use.
  • Coordinate with users to upgrade / swap upgraded PCs / Laptop.
  • Ensure software’s from old PCs are transferred to new / upgraded PC.
  • Coordinate all requests related to PC upgrade on behalf of users.
  • Plan and maintain records of upgrade activity.
  • Ensure smooth transition for the users during PC upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot; escalate issues to internal support or engineering team.
  • Follow internal process such as Change Management, Incident management.
  • Communicate effectively to the stakeholders.
  • Create and store related documentation as per standards.
  • Engage with the wider organizational support teams in the management and resolution of incidents and problems.
  • Work closely with other support functions for supporting desktop Infrastructure.
  • Maintain high-levels of up-time across the estate.

General and Technical Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, Windows 7 and 10 OS, SCCM, Office 365.
  • Experience in windows 7 to Windows 10 migration.
  • Able to create high quality documentation for colleagues and end users alike
  • Experience of working with managed service providers and outsourcers
  • Background in financial services or similar regulated industry.
  • Positive attitude capable of remaining positive when under pressure
  • A good communicator, and able to work collaboratively in a global team.
  • Someone who can operate in a fast changing environment and take ownership of their work.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • The ability to work as part of a team across time zones and to share information with the wider team.
  • An inquisitive thinker, with attention to detail.
