About the Department
The Retail function provides Personal and Business Banking customers with financial solutions tailored to their needs. We help them manage their money wisely and meet their financial goals through an extensive range of products and services. These include deposit, insurance, secured and unsecured loans, investment and wealth advisory services.
Personal Financial Services
We design and provide products and services that empower our customers to enjoy greater banking convenience while they extract more value from their money. In particular, we are focused on promoting and developing healthy saving and investment practices across generations.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for strategy, growth and performance of Deposits Products for all client segments in Singapore and the Region, including revenueand life cycle of the products - from conception to delivery and maintenance.
The role is responsible to:
  • Set strategy and direction for overall deposit business, ensure client segment relevance, scale growth in deposit balances, drive product profitability, product mix and quality of portfolio
  • Design new & refresh product proposition aligning to segment proposition to acquire deposits, balancing cost and stickiness and to complete existing product gaps
  • Drive, grow and manage Singapore deposit portfolio achieve business performance objectives
  • Work with regional businesses to shape their deposit portfolio and execute the strategy to achieve the right deposit shape
  • Lead the interface with support functions to ensure the best possible end to end delivery
  • Work with Marketing and Segments, Channels, Sales & Digital banking teams to deliver performance objectives
  • Ensure proper controls, and full compliance with internal policies and external regulations
  • Lead and manage teams/talents, build the team bench strength capable of ensuring delivery of the business short and longer-term objectives

Job Requirements
  • Degree holder with at least 15 years of relevant experience in Banking / Finance Industry
  • Strategic business acumen coupled with ability to operationalize and drive execution across countries in a region to drive Deposits growth
  • Strong leadership qualities, excellent interpersonal skills and multicultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Strong analytical skills on product portfolio and profitability
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of deposits products, pricing, Asset & Liability Management, including fund transfer pricing risk management, Basel III Framework, etc
  • Sound understanding of business guidelines and compliance requirements and issues
  • Strong people management skills with ability to drive teamwork and operate effectively within the organisation
  • In-depth understanding of key business driver in dedicated geographical market(s) with sound understanding of legal, political and economic situation/framework including understanding of cultural ethnic and religious market conditions
  • Good communication and presentation skills
