Job Description

  • Develops, executes and evaluates youth programmes which include, but not limited to the following:
  1. M.Y Mentoring: Helms the school outreach programme which mentors secondary school students in social emotional skills. Plans curriculum, recruits and trains instructors and volunteer mentors to make positive changes. Works with supervisor to develop new and maintain current school accounts.
  2. M.Y YOUTHsync: Plans community outreach and social impact programmes/ entrepreneurial ventures, engage and equip youth volunteers to make positive changes, resourceful engagement of various stakeholders.
  3. M.Y Assembly Talk: Plans, markets and delivers school talks and roadshows for schools and relevant groups
  4. M.Y Mindspace: Recruits, matches, coordinates & oversees the mentoring process to ensure the equipping of mentors and empowerment of mentees
  • Works closely with Asst. Manager and curriculum specialist to evaluate programme impact and outcome for sustainability and growth
  • Solicit feedback from stakeholders that may result in the introduction of new service initiatives or enhancement of current programmes
  • Recruits, orientates, trains, supervises, guides and evaluates vendors, instructors and volunteers for meaningful engagement
  • Makes presentations to general public to raise awareness and garner support youth programmes
  • Supports in communicating the purpose and impact of the Association’s programmes through appropriate media channels
  • Works actively and collaboratively with Community Services, Volunteer Management and Fund Raising Departments under the Youth, Outreach and Resource Development Division.
  • Stay abreast with latest trends on youth development and liaises with appropriate government agencies for funding, regulatory, volunteerism and outreach work issues among youths.
  • Visits, networks and establishes relevant contacts with school principals and teachers, government agencies and other voluntary welfare organizations, etc. to expand the youth outreach work of the Association.
  • Ensures that all administration work like maintaining accurate records, information and database related to youth, beneficiaries and volunteers are captured, correct and updated and easily accessible and kept as intellectual properties of the Association.
  • Actively supports the Association’s corporate projects.
  • Attends meetings (internal and external), workshops and seminars as and when required.
  • Any other additional projects and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.


  • Degree holder in any discipline, preferably related to Social Sciences
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant working experience in the delivery of youth development programmes
  • Possess a strong passion in mentoring / coaching / public speaking / training
  • Passion in youth-centered work with mainstream youths between 13-25 years old
  • Interest in programme development and impact evaluation
  • Strong ability to make presentations, plan curriculum, host and facilitate face-to-face or online talks / workshops, classroom learning and activities
  • Enjoys reaching out to new youth groups / communities
  • Proactive and takes initiative, eager to learn
  • Good team player, able to manage multiple tasks independently
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable to explore digital engagement of youths
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective collaborative relationships with stakeholders (youth, instructors, volunteers, teachers, invited speakers)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Previous volunteering experiences related to youth engagement will be an advantage
  • Role is targeted for candidates who are comfortable with public speaking, training and school related programmes
