Job Description

Avanade is embarking on a multiyear sales transformation that includes maturing a high performing sales function and sales operating model. This global program is a critical component in support of the company's ambitious growth plan that spans multiple corporate metrics such as sales, revenue, profit, and market share. As part of the sales transformation, Sales Operations will promote operational excellence and drive consistency across sales strategy and execution in Growth Markets. The Sales Operations team mission is to enable data-driven decisions and operationalize strategic programs that drive sales growth and sales effectiveness. As a part of the Area Sales Operations team, you will work closely with the Growth Markets Sales Operations Lead by supporting day-to-day activities and strategic programs related to sales forecasting and pipeline management, sales performance analytics, internal governance, deal management and much more. This is a critical execution role that will suit a versatile candidate experienced in coordinating, supporting and participating in sales change programs.

Key Role Responsibilities:

Sales Ops Support
    • Developing and executing strategic initiatives driven from area/global sales programs, including driving appropriate change management activities
    • Supporting processes that enforce compliance with standardized policies/ processes
    • Facilitating scalability and efficiency through the review and analysis of sales processes to inform continuous improvement initiatives
    • Applying understanding of the Avanade and Accenture sales processes to provide insight and interpretation of sales-related data
    • Helping to maintain updated process-related documentation and resources
    • Performing scheduled and ad hoc Sales performance reporting and analytics
    • Ad hoc Sales Operations activities as business needs warrant

Deal Management Support
    • Manage and coordinate Area Deal Desk and maintain regular touchpoints with regional functions to have a deeper understanding of the priorities for the region and to provide status on high priority deals
    • Tracking and monitoring deals/contracts throughout the lifecycle from opportunity to close - coordinating process steps between internal parties and other relevant stakeholders
    • Enforcing compliance with appropriate policies/standard processes and supporting internal audits regarding contracts/deals as needed
    • Acting as the point of escalation at Area level for all opportunities in the region that require Area/Global approval
    • Providing oversight and management of the offshore team lead
    • Driving process improvements through strategic initiatives

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to interact with members of the Senior Leadership team
  • Exceptional organizational and program management skills with particular attention to detail
  • Strong data analysis skills: capable of using analytic insights to drive action plans
  • Data presentation skills: production of actionable, easily digestible summaries and insights
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to communicate information to different stakeholder groups and levels of the organization
  • Proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently and use own judgment to resolve complex issues
  • Ability to work with a geographically dispersed workforce to realize results (Growth Markets, specifically)
  • Previous experience providing operational support preferred
  • Understanding of sales methodologies and processes preferred
  • Prior experience working with Sales organizations or in Sales preferred
  • Proficient with CRM, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Office Suite
  • Advanced Excel (formulas, pivots, etc.) and Power BI skills
  • Team player with strong values and behaviors

You likely have 5+ years of related experience in sales or operational support.
