This is great opportunity for an experienced Head of Infrastructure to continue to lead Digital Transformations and IT Operations within the Infrastructure vertical within this Enterprise Insurance business.

Duties & Responsibilities:

This role will effectively develop and implement strategies for Quality IT service delivery, through managing internal & external providers in order to support organisation & technology strategy. As part of this dynamic role, the candidate will report to CIO and work closely with business & IT colleagues to identifying and implementing cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the business.



Job Description:

  • Maintain oversight on IT infrastructure impact analysis, Infrastructure costs and Operationalization including (but not be limited to): solution designs, data flow, network, operational model, security infrastructure, firewall network and server/Operating System, configuration, Access Management, middleware & application level infrastructure recommendations.
  • Provide authoritative consultancy to both internal and external stakeholders on a range of infrastructure, connectivity and operational subjects
  • Undertake regular reviews and establish monitoring mechanisms to ensure compliance to MAS TRM, IT policies, BCP and IT security
  • Maintain oversight on Technology Department & technology Infrastructure budgets
  • Monitor changes in the technology sector to discover ways the company can improve and develop. Provide business cases for acquisition of new technologies and/or system developments to deliver business initiatives.
  • Oversee alerting frameworks, exception reviews, logs and events to build a preventive stance towards any site reliability or performance issues; Lead teams to build Effective monitoring frameworks get feedback from production to increase customers satisfaction, acquisition and retention
  • Managing supplier and vendor relationships and ensuring adherence to service levels and group policies
  • Establish metrics, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and protocols
  • Anchor department & project steering sessions involving key stakeholders and providing guidance, prioritization, improvement and escalation of Technology matters
  • Contribute to the capture, dissemination and embedding of best practices in technology management through networking, compliance with knowledge management practice and promotion of new and better ways of working
  • Contribute to the identification, assessment and management of technology risks in Singapore
  • Ensure and monitor effective implementation of the internal & external policies, process and procedures (e.g. patching, security baseline, AV); Program manage infrastructure migrations and upgrades across various applications to lead and implement BAU security related initiatives and projects
  • Drive strategic engagement between Technology, Technology Risk Management and outsourced service providers
  • Supervise on-going security monitoring of information systems, including assessing IT security risk on a regular basis

Who we are looking for:

  • Proven experience as an Infrastructure leader with overall experience between 12 - 15 years
  • Demonstrated ability to understand business strategy & technology process processes & its successful translation into technology infrastructure solutions
  • Extensive experience with cloud, Azure ideally.
  • Familiar with managing technologies such as database, Java, REST APIs & Azure Cloud
  • In depth knowledge in managing security and compliance
  • Familiarity in SCCM, Qualys or any other security tool
  • Excellent attention to detail, data accuracy and data analysis

Education

Bachelor's in computer science, Computer Engineering or equivalent; Suitable certifications
