The FX payments landscape is continuing to evolve - clients now demand simple and cost-effective payment methods for complex International payment requirements. Alternate channels like mobile disbursements, International FXACH, wallets etc. are now contributing a significant portion of the overall International payment traffic. Development of alternate channels network (both in-house and through Global Partners) is one of the most important cornerstones of the Cross Border Payments (FX) Product team, as we continue to broaden our FX payments product and support our clients.
Cross Border Payments (FX) APAC is seeking a seasoned Product Manager to join a team of FX Business owners tasked with managing and growing our Cross Border Payments (FX) solutions across the region. The role is focused on both the day to day management of our existing solutions as well as developing a regional product strategy / roadmap that will support ongoing growth and customer excellence.
Roles and Responsibilities
As the lead for several APAC Markets you will be required to:
    • Become a subject-matter expert on the operational processes and systems that support our transactional FX services day to day, with particular attention to the nuances that exist in the markets of responsibility
    • Regularly engage relationship teams and local product teams to capture new business led or regulatory driven requirements. Ensuring robust business cases are in place to support any development discussion.
    • Work with global Cross Border Payments colleagues to support all new product go-to-market activity e.g. lead generation, sales enablement, product positioning
    • Own the delivery of the product road map for your markets and drive the commercialisation
    • Lead internal pipeline discussions to help identify commercialisation opportunities and ensure you, as the Product Manager, are supporting client discussions.
    • Monitor portfolio performance by identifying, reporting and addressing declining activity
    • Actively monitor pipeline performance and engage Sales and Implementation to ensure a positive initial client experience

Desired Background:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 10years or more working experience in a financial institution or payments company, with a strong level of experience in Product Management.
  • Knowledge design thinking and agile development methodology
  • Candidate must have strong knowledge of bank product controls, risk management and an understanding of business operations
  • Demonstrated experience managing through influence, collaborating with multiple teams, coordinating across different cross-functional initiatives, and reaching consensus with diverse stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication skills, particularly with senior management for planning and reporting
  • Good knowledge of the cross border payments landscape in APAC & current trends
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
