Job Description
The Department of Economics at the National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications for educator-track positions to teach macroeconomics and econometrics at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The Educator Track aims to attract, nurture, and retain qualified and effective educators who approach teaching as a scholarly practice, and who therefore focus on and are passionate about excellence in teaching.
Responsibilities:Successful candidates will be expected to teach approximately four modules a year (two per semester) at the undergraduate and master’s level.The medium of instruction is English. Other responsibilities include supervision of honors theses and graduate dissertations as well as administrative service. The academic year is from August to May. Successful candidates should be able to start in August 2021.
Context:The NUS Department of Economics has an established reputation as one of the foremost economics departments in Asia. We have researchers in all the major fields of economics. We also aim to contribute to public policy discussion in Singapore through research in applied fields and outreachactivities.

Qualifications
Criteria for appointment: Educator Track colleagues, especially those holding higher-level appointments, are expected to demonstrate a scholarly, evidence-based approach to and reflection on teaching and student learning; utilize a range of pedagogical approaches to encourage deep, holistic, and self-directed learning; and contribute to advancing pedagogical and/or disciplinary knowledge through relevant inquiry or educational leadership.

5) THREEletters of reference.
