Job Description

The Government Technology Agency (GovTech) aims to transform the delivery of Government digital services by taking an 'outside-in' view, putting citizens and businesses at the heart of everything we do. What you will be working on:

  • Work closely with the shared service provider to ensure smooth operational activities on Account Payables

  • Provide advice to project teams and internal stakeholders on tax and payment matters

  • Participate in the implementation and maintenance of technology driven initiatives (e.g. Robotic Process Automation, Data Analytics, Chatbot)

  • Perform data analytics on invoices, payments and staff claims for irregularity and compliance with policies

  • Ensure all invoice and payment transactions are timely accounted for month-end and year-end closing

  • Review monthly balance sheet audit schedules and reconciliation statements to ensure all outstanding Account Payables items have been cleared timely

  • Review monthly dashboards to management

  • Prepare regular AP communications to internal stakeholders

  • Prepare board member fees for accruals and disbursement

  • Ensure financial reports are prepared in a timely and accurate manner in compliance with financial reporting standards

  • Manage the outsourced vendor to ensure delivery of key performance indicators

  • Evaluate financial reporting systems, accounting procedures and make recommendations for changes to procedures & processes and other financial control functions

  • Liaise with internal/external auditors, tax agents, banks and other statutory bodies / authorities and ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements

  • Support ad-hoc requests and assist in various requests from senior management

What we are looking for:

  • Degree in Accountancy or equivalent recognised by Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants

  • Minimum 5 years working experience in Account Payables with 2 years of supervisory working experience

  • Strong data analytic skills with knowledge on the use of DA tools such as Tableau

  • Self-motivated, meticulous, hands on, able to work independently and proactive team player

  • Demonstrate excellent skills in managing multiple stakeholders under significant pressure and tight deadlines

  • Good communication and presentation skills
