Job Description:
This position is responsible for determining, developing and executing procurement strategies and plans to purchase 3rd party products and services in the South Asia (SA) hub. Position reports directly to the Senior Manager, Project Procurement, East Asia & Japan. The Project Procurement Lead will lead a team of 8 professional across South Asia with responsibility for driving competitive supply and services strategies to achieve the best landed costs aligned with the customer’s scope of work for projects.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and create a performance culture team to drive project procurement strategy to support business growth, profitability, cash flow improvement through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify and qualify key 3rd party suppliers and sub-contractors for framework agreements to provide competitive pricing and services to support the Pre-bid winning rates and during project execution to improve project gross margin.
• Collaborate and develop with Sales/Proposal, Project Delivery, Peers cross Business Units and cross regions to drive competitive material productivity and operational synergies to leverage on spend to achieve competitive pricing, quality, delivery and risk management with the supply base.
• Influence project bid / proposal process by ensuring best 3rd party strategy to give company a competitive cost position during customer pursuits.
• Deploy digital transformation on work improve and tools to streamline the end to end processes and operation to achieve work efficient and/or saving
• Co-ordinate factory loading forecast to enable factory material planning to provide timely delivery of material to support project execution.
• Ensure team are updated with Trade compliance requirement to adhere to the rules and doing the due diligent check competently
• Elevate Team effectiveness and engagement to drive competitiveness in our solution offered
• Any other task as assigned.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/Supply chain or related discipline
• At least 5 years of experience in regional project procurement and leadership role managing large capital projects and employees
• Preferably experienced in process automation, Engineering Procurement & Construction (EPC) or Large Oil & Gas industries
• Strong supervisory skills, ability to lead, build and develop a high performing team
• Outstanding verbal, presentation & facilitation skills plus effective listening skills, high energy and engaging
• Solid negotiation, creative problem solving, superior data-driven decision making skills and highly developed analytical skills
