Job Description


Support Bank’s Sustainability Framework and Strategy implementation by:
  1. Helping to develop ESG policies of the Bank including assisting to develop new ESG sector-specific policies and review of ESG risk assessment frameworks, to ensure continued relevance and effectiveness with alignment to the Bank’s risk appetite, business strategy and compliance to regulations.
  2. Working with relevant internal stakeholders which would include other Risk Management units, Business units and Credit Admin, as applicable, to review, update and implement the policies bank-wide.
  3. Engaging subsidiaries to ensure prompt adoption and localization of the Group ESG policy and to ensure compliance with Group core standards.
  4. Coordinating ESG risk related committee meetings, maintain committee Terms of Reference, meeting packs and minutes.
  5. Providing ESG training, monitor public (eg international and industry best practice standards and principles) and regulatory development of ESG policies.
  6. Working in a collaborative, cross functional team towards establishing ESG understanding, practices and application of selected international standards/guidelines across the bank.
  7. Coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders in developing responses and managing the bank’s sustainability indices.

*LI-VW Qualifications
  1. Minimum 2-4 years working experience in ESG and sustainability areas
  2. Knowledge of key sustainability issues, ESG international standards/principles and best practices and their relevance to the banking sector
  3. Academic studies in environmental studies, sustainability and development or direct work experience in sustainability-related practices.
  4. Effective communication and possess writing skills with clarity.
  5. Able to work independently, be proactive, able to prioritize and operate under tight deadlines.
