The Opportunity

EY is looking for a Product Architect/Engineering Manager to join the strong technical team handling product development work and solutioning for client. You should be an experienced product architect with strong years of hands on technical expertise to handle client solutioning and also provide guidance to application developers within the team. You will be responsible for providing consultative technical advice and integral support to ensure the seamless implementation of a software product that will be launched in the market.
Your Key Responsibilities

  • Drive overall architecture blueprints and design patterns to guide development and align technical architecture and roadmap with product design

  • Design product to be a high-performance and highly available, resilient application to meet customers’ and application requirements on functionals and non-functionals

  • Ensure all solutions exhibit high levels of application architecture, enterprise software and concepts, performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment for customers moving their on-premise or competitive cloud solution

  • Validate the integration viability according to product’s needs through DevOps Testing

  • Lead, plan, monitor, track and prioritize engineering team’s product development projects across multiple functional organizations in facilitating successful, on-time and within budget execution.

  • Able to provide guidance and advice to structure application architecture and data modelling, and provide feedbacks on design documents such as UML diagrams, Data Model diagrams, System Interface Diagrams etc

  • Provide process models/practice for support and maintenance of the developed product

  • Regularly report design / delivery status into Product Manager and effectively manage design risks and issues

  • Ensure product status / outcomes are properly documented and presented quantitatively with scientific & engineering discipline and be responsible to integrate and maintain product related documents and information, and collaborate with internal document control.

  • Deliver product demonstrations to prospective clients and engage in functional level discussions on product aspects, features and benefits.

  • Maintain required technical knowledge up-to-date and drive innovation and keeps current on industry best practices

Skills and Attributes for Success

  • Proven track record for delivery of large scale, complex projects delivering IT / Financial customer solutions; demonstrable leadership skills and organisational experience

  • Innovative troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues using debugging tools

  • Self-starter with a clear can-do mentality, ability to work under pressure from both customers and internal stakeholders and produces solution designs that are deliverable, strong commercial acumen

  • Highly effective technical planning across customer, internal and 3rd Party technical teams

  • You encourage a healthy work environment that’s both supportive and challenging

  • You lead by example, by setting the right context, and by helping teammates do their best work

To Qualify for the role, you must have

  • Minimum 8 years of experience handling development with SI/Product background with at least 2 in a product architect role

  • Strong knowledge of API, micro-services and event driven IT architectures

  • Strong knowledge of security, controls, privacy and compliance in the Financial Services domain

  • Strong knowledge of agile development experience

  • Strong Experience in Linux operating system

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience with the VMware technology stack or Microsoft technology stack

  • Experience distributed real-time systems and process automation

  • Experience in networking (i.e., Linux, software-defined networking, network virtualization, open protocols, application acceleration and load balancing, DNS, virtual private networks) and their application to IaaS, PaaS and CaaS technologies

  • Experience with deployment methodologies and technologies (CI/CD, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc.)
