MoneySmart Group is South East Asia's leading personal financial portal helping consumers compare loans, insurance, and credit cards. MoneySmart was founded in 2009 with the simple aim to help consumers make better financial decisions. We are growing, and we’re looking for talents to come onboard our Product team as a Product (UX) Designer with first hand experience in (usability) testing based in Singapore.
As Product (UX) Designer at MoneySmart, you will be deeply involved in our company-wide Design and UX process from concept to outcome, high-level discussions to fine detail, and live demos. You’ll be the kind of person that sees every task as being validated best by testing to de-risk and inform product design decisions. It harmonizes with product vision and contributes to the full user journey, keeping your success and engagement metrics in mind.

Your mission as a Product (UX) Designer at MoneySmart is to design best-in-class user experiences to aid consumers in reaching their personal finance goals.

The role requires you to work closely with the MoneySmart product, design, technology, brand, marketing and commercial teams to develop digital products and services for the personal finance sector.

In a Nutshell

  • You will be working together in a team of product experience designers, product managers, and creative technologists to actively define the evolving product strategy.
  • You will be hyper-focused on the end user, able to see your insights’ impact on their holistic experience.
  • Likewise, you are expected to suggest testing methodology for eliciting feedback on everything from prototypes to finished products, synthesise the results and socialise with top-level stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Core Competencies

  • Ability to work with key stakeholders to clearly define a compelling problem in need of customer insight based on testing and UX research
  • Can demonstrate an understanding of product experiences with a broad range of techniques to define what qualitative and quantitative data will be important in the work of various teams and projects.
  • Ability to synthesise and ideate on raw data of all sorts and create product design outputs that are easy to understand and interpret across many disciplines.
  • Able to run usability tests, persona interviews and synthesise for prototype iterations
  • Consider potential states (errors, successes, dead-ends) in your work and look for opportunities to connect experience before, during and after a given task.
  • Shares work early and often and seeks out constructive feedback from their manager, stakeholders, teams and the Product Experience Design team.
  • Contributes to UX research areas alongside their product, design and technology counterparts always thinking scalable and problem oriented
  • Gauge and iterate on the usability and delightfulness of new and existing surfaces by partnering with your teammates or stakeholders
  • Knows what types of experiences are made possible by current technology, striving for mobile first. React native / React knowledge is a plus

Requirements / Competencies

  • 2-5 years of experience working in a technology focused company
  • Experience working in an agile, cross-disciplinary team, end-to-end process from defining success metrics with respective stakeholders, wireframing, high fidelity mock-ups, testing, hands off process and QA
  • First-hand experience working within agile product design environment
  • Expertise in FIGMA, Framer, and a ticketing system (JIRA, confluence)
  • Firm grasp of rapid prototyping methods and tools + AB testing + usability testing (lookback / usability hub / maze)
  • Portfolio highlighting latest works that have clear problems solved by your product design and showcases testing experience. Samples of methodology and synthesis are good; living and breathing work products are great, showcasing artifacts are excellent.
