Job Description :
A Project Officer position is currently available in the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) to assist in an interdisciplinary project and is closely related with the work of the NTU Institute of Science and Technology for Humanity (NISTH).
Job Responsibilities

  • Perform theoretical research in the field of quantum technologies, with a focus on interdisciplinary topics relating to science, technology and society and ethics

  • Collaboration with other research teams in the science, technology and society sub-area

  • Communication of research results in writing of reports and papers for publication, conference presentations

  • Assist in writing grant proposals

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physics

  • Skills and knowledge relevant to understanding quantum technologies and interdisciplinary topics such as ethics and society

  • Familiar with the cutting edge of quantum technologies from both a physics as well as philosophical perspective

  • Coding skills in a scientific programming language, e.g. NetLogo, python

  • Interest in issues relating to science, technology and society as well as ethics

  • Have excellent verbal and written English because internal and international conferences are conducted in English, and publications to international journals are in the English language

  • A good communicator and team player
