Job Description

To ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, customer and supplier requirements in accordance with Satair's Company Management System.

Job Responsibilities

  • Managing of supplier claims and customer's complaint
  • Act as liaison for customer/supplier and the company to resolve non-conformance and quality problems effectively through communication with relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide support and guidance to the Customer Order Desk on customer's claim and follow up to ensure correct handling and closure of the claim on timely basis.
  • Provide support and guidance the warehouse and shipping team on the inbound and outbound quality processes
  • Perform receiving inspection on all raw materials and consumables to ensure that they meets acceptable quality standard.
  • Keep a systematic records and traceability of all documents with regards to all raw materials and consumables receive
  • Responsible for the technical records archiving system
  • Ensure completeness of the completed work package before archive.
  • Ensure completed work package are archived for easy retrieval.
  • Monitor all aircraft components, parts and materials in the workshop are properly stored and no non-conformance arise.
  • To manage a Shelf-Life Monitoring program.
  • To manage the Quarantine Cage.
  • Ensure all scrap parts are mutilated to beyond repairable condition before disposal.
  • Participate in HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment) exercises as and when required.
  • Participate in new capability study and new capability set-up as and when requested to do so.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects.
  • Act as liaison for customer/supplier and the company to resolve non-conformance and quality problems effectively through communication with relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide support and guidance to the Customer Service team on customer's claim and follow up to ensure correct handling and closure of the claim.
  • Oversee non-conforming material handling and disposition of material, ensure all discrepancy are managed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure that rejected goods from suppliers as well as returned goods from customers are handled according to the company's guidelines
  • Report any Suspected Unapproved Parts to the Quality Head of Department
  • Maintain tidy conditions in own working area and any other areas for which the individual is responsible
  • Able to perform shift work
  • To serve as a back up to the Quality Engineer during his absence.
  • Any other tasks as designated by the Manager

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Assist the Manager to implement and manage an independent quality and safety system with its administration to ensure that the activities carried out can be monitored for compliance with the relevant CAAs, ISO9001, AS9110 & AS9120 requirements and relevant procedures and instructions that are called out by company procedures
  • Work in backup capacity within the team by arrangement with the Manager - Quality
  • Provide support and guidance to the Warehouse and Shipping team on the incoming and outgoing quality related process
  • Perform pick, pack and process shipment orders through the point of picking to dispatch with appropriate paperwork, when necessary.
  • Report any deterioration in Quality performance and recommend mitigation actions
  • Promote quality awareness throughout the organization
  • Assist the Manager to manage a system to monitor, investigate and evaluate customer's complaints and warranties issues in the operations
  • Assist in the development of new processes together with the appropriate departments

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 months of experience in an Airbus Production environment or an equivalent level from a different production / repair organization confirmed by POA Compliance Team is required
  • Preferably with minimum 18 months of aviation experience with at least 6 months in quality assurance function
  • Minimum Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education N level or equivalent with technical training preferred, preferably with a minimum Diploma in Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Knowledge of airworthiness authorities regulatory requirements and AS9100 series standard requirements is an added advantage
  • Technically knowledgeable and capable of grasping detailed engineering and quality concepts
  • Ability to understand and read blueprints, schematics & Component Maintenance Manuals
  • Be familiar with aircraft sub-systems, components, associated equipment and technical documentation systems
  • Ability to analyze inspection findings, and determine best case analysis
  • Be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
  • PC literacy, including word processing, spreadsheets and databases
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Familiar with work-related routines under Satair's ERP system
