Job Description


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop new recipes based on the brands culinary direction make recommendations in menu design
  • Refine taste profiles through persistent experimentation, constantly seeking feedback from other stakeholders
  • Make organised effort in internal food tasting activities act on feedback given by other stakeholders
  • Make recommendations in kitchen layout, processes and workflow to achieve optimal productivity, safety and hygiene standards
  • Help to set up kitchen equipment and tools to support the roll-out of new or improvised menu items
  • Actively source for raw ingredients of high quality, cost-optimised and work best for new or existing menu items
  • Determine how food should be displayed, presented and packaged
  • Define all standard procedures related to new/ improved menu items
  • Integrate new standard procedures seamlessly into the food operations, and document it adequately and clearly
  • Conduct formal and informal training to impart skills to other food production crews be responsible for their ability and consistency in recreating the new recipes
  • Make sure that all dishes end products are quality-controlled for its taste, quality and safety and hygiene standards
  • Support outlet operations whenever necessary


  • Passionate in Chinese cuisines
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience of working experience in Chinese cuisine, with at least one (1) year of experience in creating new menu items
  • Skilful in making Chinese pastry, dessert and experience in other cuisines is a big plus
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and holidays, as needed
  • Think quickly, multitask, and adapt to changing situations while maintaining the highest quality of product and other established standards
