Job Description :
School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop nanomechanical experimental capabilities to investigate GB/interface-dominated deformation mechanism in different material systems, with the goal of establishing a systematic understanding of GB interface-dominated deformation mechanisms from the atomic scale and up

  • Perform nanomechanical experimental studies to expand the current knowledge on structure-property relations in nanostructured materials and develop this knowledge into guidelines for the design of new materials via a bottom-up approach

Job Requirements:

  • ​PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering/Materials Sciences

  • Rich experience in in situ nanomechanical testing on atomistic mechanism of deformation behaviors in metallic materials

  • Good communication and writing in English

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Strong responsibility for research work

  • Publication track record is an advantage
