We are hiring a Regional Account Manager who will work closely with the regional commercial and marketing teams (across Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia and Malaysia) to accelerate Kanghui (China Orthopaedics) market share in the International markets. The incumbent will analyze market insights, plan and execute market development strategies, identify opportunities in the international markets to drive revenue growth, build strategic partnerships with key hospital accounts or healthcare network, execute robust Channel Management strategies and governance. A Day in the Life
In this role you will collaborate with internal stakeholders from Commercial, Downstream Marketing, Upstream Marketing, R&D, Regulatory, Government Affairs or Market Access, external Stakeholders and Business Partners to:
  • Lead competitive intelligence collection, analyze market insights and trends, execute competitive market development strategies to grow Kanghui (China Orthopaedics) market share.
  • Identify market opportunities for share gain and category growth, leverage on market research and Voice of Customers to assess market opportunities and trends. Develop new programs to meet the organization's sales plans to increase market share.
  • Develop and lead in market development strategies for existing and potential accounts and support execution by driving accountability. Evaluate and report results on a timely basis.
  • Continually evaluate and recommend timely adjustments of business strategies and execution tactics to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Identify, build strategic partnerships with key hospital accounts, healthcare networks/ conglomerates, key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals, including those in clinical and health economics, in target focus markets to increase Kanghui brand awareness, market presence and product adoption.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all key account personnel, Channels and relevant functions in order to support selling, market development, service efforts and clinical programs.
  • Collaborate with Medical Education Manager to develop key accounts promotional plans such as Centres of Excellence, to facilitate and increase Kanghui products market adoption.
  • Execute Channel Management strategies to accelerate our growth through elaborate distributor profiling, performance metrics management, performance tracking.
  • Recommend and communicate updates on channel changes to meet changing business needs. Execute Distributor governance and accountability in our current go to market model.
  • Work to ensure 100% visibility of all distributor KPIs - these KPIs include Sales in, Sale out data, Inventory weeks, DSO, A/R, compliance training status, due diligence checks, etc
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key cross-functional team members to foster collaborative and mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Build influential partnerships across regional marketing, sales and other work groups to ensure the international annual operating plan is achieved.
  • Contribute to a work environment of collaboration, trust, achievement and high engagement.
  • Ensure all activities and initiatives are aligned with Medtronic Business Conduct Standards and Compliance.
  • Assist in the development and managing of budgets to meet company and business unit objectives.
  • Able to travel (international travel) up to 40% of time.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher qualification
  • Minimum 10 years experience in strategic marketing, channel management, market development in the medical device industry
  • Demonstrate strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
  • Result oriented with a can-do attitude and strong execution capability
  • Motivated individual, self-starter
  • Strong communication and influence skill
  • Proficient in English, both oral and written

  • Consistent industry-related track record of success
  • Strong and proven track-record of team leadership and improving organizational effectiveness
  • Clinical understanding and knowledge of Trauma procedures
  • Able to work across functions within the organization, and across time zones, geographies, language and cultural differences
  • Capable of handling multiple projects/tasks simultaneously in a highly dynamic and stressful environment
