A Day in the Life
We offer you a position, as the key point of contact for a selected group of Key Accounts in Belgium. You will be responsible for the growth, expansion and protection of Medtronic sales in these accounts through Customer Relationship Management, the promotion and sales of our entire product portfolio and the coordination of all Medtronic functional teams to provide support and valued-added services to our customers, to ensure effective long-term partnership. Responsibility for sales, marketing and service including the design and implementation of marketing and sales strategies, follow-up and evaluation.

  • Business related :

    • Lead and define the overall approach and strategy towards the account, considering the need of Neuro Vascular and a possible global agreement of the Company.

    • Achieve annual sales targets in terms of revenues and margins.

    • Control and monitor the execution of contracts, by using KAM tools (analysing/compliance tracking etc.).

    • Lead negotiations towards the customer, by developing the strategy and creating and orchestrating the project teams around the account.

    • Lead the price strategy per account, based on the delegated mandate out of the Operating Unit.

    • Identify business opportunities and coordinate with the Neuro Vascular team to execute and accelerate on these opportunities.

    • Develop and drive appropriate portfolio management strategy in collaboration with Marketing to gain, expand and protect market share, optimize pricing strategy, and build long-term contractual agreements.

    • Create, coordinate, execute and track contract compliance for Key Accounts.

    • Create, develop and sell the Value of After sales services of Medtronic.

    • Develop a country/area business plan in line with corporate guidelines and objectives that maximizes potential and opportunity, for the current year and the foreseeable future.

    • Establish product prices and promotional plans.

    • Monitor sales and conduct statistical analysis on sales data and information to ensure optimal sales execution and attainment of growth objectives.

    • Develop relationships with key decision and opinion makers. To assess market needs and follow trends in the business and anticipate future developments.

    • Provide accurate forecasts and to follow up on costs and budgets.

    • To, as a member of the team, pro-actively develop and cooperate in development of all opportunities that increase business for the company.

  • Develop strategic partnership and strong long term relationships :

    • Lead Medtronic relationship, being the 'face' of Medtronic for our customers by pro-actively coordinating with Medtronic functional teams to provide full account management support.

    • Build strong ethical and business relationships with Key Decision Makers (Procurement / Purchasing, Head of Interventional Neuroradiology, Interventional Radiology, Head of Neurology/Stroke Unit, Members of national Stroke Society and the Stroke Network especially of the strategic accounts, etc.).

    • Promote Medtronic Neuro Vascular unique value and partnership positioning by proper value propositions, and coordinate the definition and implementation of specific related commercial initiatives.

    • Identify and develop key decision makers within the account and support and represent the Company at key conference and networking events to reinforce Medtronic presence and brand on the market.

    • Managing of KOL customer relations at the described levels for Key Accounts.

    • Drive actions to improve customer loyalty and satisfaction (external/internal).

Must Haves

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and working knowledge of company products and services.

  • In-depth knowledge of the hospital market and the health care system.

  • Strong knowledge of hospital economics, finances and decision-making processes in hospital management.

  • Experience in the business development of large contracts and in dealing with hospital senior management.

  • Proven experience in advisory sales of complex healthcare solutions with strong project management skills for handling complex transactions in a rapidly growing environment.

  • Experience in working with interdisciplinary and cross-functional teams.

  • Good computer skills with specific skills in Microsoft Office: Power point, Excel, and Word.

  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with all functional partners.

  • Ability to multi-task and work independently.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Fluent in Dutch and French.

Nice to have:

  • Professional experience in Neuro Vascular business areas.

  • Experience with large corporations.

  • Established business planning and forecasting experience.

  • Demonstrated formal sales skills training.

  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas.

  • Medical device/equipment sales experience.

  • Experience selling to physicians in a procedural setting.

  • Degree with emphasis in Life Sciences, Medicine, or related, technical field.
