Job Description

• Instil agile values and principles - ensure alignment with Agile methodology including sprint ceremonies (stand-ups, demos, retrospectives), road-mapping and release planning, backlog management (definition, grooming, prioritization), sizing, task estimation and velocity tracking
• Follows-up and follow-through issues and actions and drives them to closure in a timely manner. Remove impediments or blockers that hinder the progress of the Scrum teams
• Work with other SMs to deliver consistent Agile practices across organizations
• Ensure Product Owner prioritize Product backlog and there are user stories for sharing in every sprint
• Facilitate the successful delivery (of user stories committed) of multiple Scrum teams within timeline and defined quality
• Participate in release planning meeting, identify and manage dependencies across Scrum teams and other teams
• Guide and coach the team on Agile methodologies and processes
• Drive alignment of Agile practices across the cross-functional team, vendors, clients, business stakeholders and internal team
• Lead daily meetings to resolve issues through mediation and raise escalations as required
• Encourage and push for adoption of good Agile practices and continuous improvement
• Provide and maintain regular updates on projects
• Monitor and manage project milestones and deliverables, ensuring they meet the required KPIs and SLAs
• Clear any potential obstacles for the team promptly.
• Demonstrate effective usage of Agile tools (E.g. JIRA, Confluence, etc) in a day to day software development work
• Improve team performance and delivery competency

• 5- 8 years of experience working as a Scrum Master
• Facilitating Scrum Ceremonies (Planning Sessions, Stand Ups, Reviews, Retrospectives) and User Story Workshops
• Understand backlog tracking, burn down metrics, velocity, and task definition
• Certifications: CSM, CSP, PSM certification is a must
