Job Description
We are looking for a passionate candidate who will be committed to leap frog our security and safety standards. The candidate must have the energy and keen interest in wanting to be part of a winning team and deliver breakthroughs in process operational re-engineering, analytics and technology enablement. This headcount has a dual reporting to the Director of Infrastructure and Security and Safety Manager. The candidate will also assist in special projects.
Responsibilities:
  • Deputise the Security Manager as 2 I/C and provide mentorship to security supervisors.
  • Assist the Director of Infrastructure, Safety and Security in special projects that may involve security audits.
  • Oversee day to day Fire Command Centre operations.
  • Able to work on shifts and take full operational control of the Fire Command Centre when needed. This will involve working on weekends or Public Holidays.
  • Conduct trainings for in-house and outsource security personals on security operations.
  • Point of Contact for Events and follow up closely on all Events Safety, Security and logistics arrangements.
  • Able to undertake role of a Safe Management Officer.
  • Conduct best-in-class internal investigations with willingness to adapt common-sense to the fullest.
  • Collaborate and liaise with external agencies and NUS institutional partners to iron out tactical deployment and risk management protocols.
  • Take administrative ownership of all security-related matters such as document control and protocol updates.
  • To undertake any other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Highest level of integrity, high energy level and solid track records involved in leading or deputising operations, change management and organisational transformation.
  • Diploma in Security Management or PLRD licensing grade of ‘Senior Security Supervisor’ or ‘Chief Security Officer’. Candidates who do not have these but have been working for local enforcement agencies with at least 10 years’ experience and can demonstrate track records are most welcome to apply.
  • At least 5 years of supervisory or management experience with considerable exposure to CCTV operations, fire alarm system and card access controls.
  • Willing to take stewardship and perform shift security duties and ad-hoc projects.
  • Able to write well and articulate succinctly
