The Role Responsibilities
As Sr. Product Designer you are responsible for one of our business-specialised UX functions and thus at the heart of our design efforts, reporting to the head of UX. You might own the UX for cash, trade, digital servicing or another business area and drive the global user story design for it. This means you&rsquoll be tasked with creating flows that delight people and meet the business goals, informed by data, research and your knowledge about great design.
You will internalise complex information about products and services to make them understandable to real humans like you and us. Since this role is fully focused on solving problems for customers and business alike, it requires empathy and business understanding in equal parts.
You&rsquoll be a key player in a newly created department &ndash Drive, grit and the ability to evangelise the significance of user experience is important to affect the change we&rsquore after. And when you succeed, your designs will be used globally for all clients.
What you will do

  • You&rsquoll create the direction for a standout user experience for the products & services in your specialised business area, keeping it in line with the larger customer experience vision

  • You&rsquoll drive its realisation hands-on together with the design team, business and tech

  • You use wireframes to express and align your vision and deliver the final flows with applied components from our design system, which you also help shape with your insights

  • You will be a close and trusted partner to the product and business owners to understand their needs, goals and what makes a difference to them. As a senior candidate you will use your knowledge and skill to help them define and refine problem statements

  • You frequently engage with our research, analytics and value capture teams to understand pain points and opportunities to improve the experience. It is important that you think &lsquoalong and ahead&rsquo for your business area to help them transform

  • We are in the early days of establishing this function, so your role kicks off in start-up mode. We therefore need your entrepreneurial spirit to utilise your strategic skills and talent to direct partners as well as your own hands-on craft while we grow the design dept

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in driving projects from initiation to delivery, defining the business value gained with the program and utilising this with stakeholders for buy-in

  • 8+ years of experience in producing rich interactive applications

  • 3 years of experience working in a large corporation

  • Bachelor&rsquos Degree in Liberal Arts, Business, Communications, Human Computer Interaction, Information Design, Interaction Design, Psychology or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

  • Enthusiasm for tackling the large cultural shift behind necessary to establish a design practice within a corporate environment

  • You can be strategic one moment and a detail-obsessed designer the next

  • You have an understanding of psychology and behavioural science

  • You also understand global diversity and have the ability to advise on solutions that suit all in a systemic manner

  • You like challenging yourself and others with entrepreneurial attitude and passion for observing human behaviour, identifying team biases and surfacing these with grit at risk of being labelled restless

  • You can guide business partners and evangelise a mindset for good experience and user-centricity through workshops as much as through building personal relationships

  • You work smart, are flexible and skilled in establishing practical processes

  • You love to take ownership, see your projects through all the way to launch and keep an eye on them afterwards, always on the lookout for improvement
