The position is a 'hands-on' role that involves architecture design, implementation, project manage and operations of the MAS enterprise network, comprising of WAN, LAN, Data Centre core network backbone, Internet, load balancers, IP Telephony, DNS, and perimeter cyber defence (e.g. firewalls, network intrusion prevention, forward web proxy, web application firewalls). Enterprise Network Service team is part of the larger IT Operations Division.
.Lead/assist in the development of enterprise network architecture and engineering solution designs to support MAS dynamic business requirements
.Develop network standards and governance to ensure network interoperability, availability, resiliency, security and performance
.Ensure that the architecture and design are cost-effective and compliance to Government policy for IT Management and MAS security policies
.Procure hardware and services for project implementation, and maintenance services for current systems
.Assist to devise the next generation network and infrastructure strategy to meet the future business needs of the MAS.
.Manage and implement projects and technology upgrades including evaluation/recommendations for network-related tools and solutions that enhance MAS effectiveness in delivering its business objectives
.Engage in network operations and management of the associated outsourced partners (e.g. on-site contracted network and security engineers, vendors, etc.) who will be responsible for BAU operation of the IT network infrastructure
.Support the disaster recovery and business continuity activities to meet MAS business requirements.
. Serve as the (Subject Matter Expert) to provide inputs in the areas of design, deployment, operation and management of enterprise network infrastructure.
Job Requirements:
. Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related fields
. 5-8 years of relevant working experience in the Infocomm industry, preferably with exposure to the deployment, management, support and operations of sizable enterprise and cloud network infrastructure
. Good understanding of and hands-on experience in the following will be an added advantage:
  • WAN & LAN technologies
  • Network and Security Infrastructure (e.g. Cisco, Palo Alto, CheckPoint, F5, Aruba ClearPass, AlgoSec)
  • Software Defined Network (e.g. VMWare NSX, Cisco ACI)
  • Network Automation Tools
  • Telecommunications technologies and infrastructure

.Team player who is pro-active and analytical with ability to drive consensus and decisions
.Highly driven with ability to multi-task and perform in a high-pressure environment
.Project management experience that ensures IT projects are delivered on time, budget and schedule
.Knowledge and implementation experience of the Government Instruction Manual for IT Management (IM8) and WOG baseline standards, particularly for networking related policies and procedures would have an advantage
.Knowledge of ITIL principles, particularly Incident, Change, Problem and Service Management
