Job Description :
  • Responsible for implementation and monitoring of Workplace Safety & Health and Environmental Management Systems at work sites.
  • Liaise closely with HSE Officer and Project Lead on workplace safety, health and environmental issues to maintain a high level of safety at the sites.
  • Conduct Risk Assessment at workplace and recommend measures to eliminate and mitigate potential risk, maintain high level of safety and housekeeping at site.
  • Ensure compliance to statutory regulations, code of practice, client’s requirement and the Company’s safety rules and regulations.
  • Assist the Construction team/Contractor to implement and safe work procedures and measures.
  • Organize and promote EHS activities and raise the safety awareness of site personnel.
  • Enforce safety standards and Implement workplace safety programs & safety initiatives.
  • Conduct safety training programs and inspections to ensure staff and subcontractors abide policies and standards.
  • Preparation and/or submission of safety reports and necessary audits.
  • Lead and manage the subcontractors in the implementation of Company’s safety systems at sites.
  • Monitor safety and health aspect of all projects and workers safe work practices.
  • Carry out safety orientations and to conduct daily toolbox meeting.
  • Plan, Administer and implement safety policy and safety procedures in compliance with local safety regulations.
  • Implement and maintain proper procedures of WSHE management, administrative and recording system.
  • Conduct team/ individual WSH inspections and produce relevant reports and ensure follow-up actions to ensure safety compliance.
  • Organize / conduct WSHE briefing/ training to all employees.
  • To ensure risk assessment and safe working procedure are properly executed on site, revise and enforce when needed.
  • Be prepared to stop work or to notify the Construction Manager in the event of any WSHE deviations.
  • Advice on the measures to be taken in the interest of workplace safety and health.
  • Lead and assist in investigating any near miss, incident or accident, dangerous occurrence that occurs.
  • Develop documentation for the Project – Risk Assessment, Safe Work Procedures, etc.
  • To liaise and co-ordinate with stakeholders, authorities, agencies and consultants employed by Developer/Client.
  • Ensure legal compliance to all statutory safety and Environmental regulations and timely submission of mandatory documents.
  • Carry out other duties as may be assigned from time to time by HSE Officer or Project Lead.
  • Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a high energy, start-up-based environment.
  • Professional accredited knowledge of construction EHS
  • Background with Structural and Mechanical Supervisory works
  • 5months contract
  • Mondays to friday 8-7pm
  • Saturdays 8-5pm
