Job Description

Broad Function
To support the setup of the ongoing Next Generation Electronic Medical Record (NGEMR) national initiative for Woodlands Health, with an eventual transit into hospital day-to day operations (Ops)

Key Responsibilities and Duties
Specific - NGEMR
  • Assume the role of a Process Analyst for the following modules of NGEMR:
    • Bed Management
    • Medical Records
  • Represent WH's interests in the above, with a focus in Bed Management andMedical Records
  • Gather requirements from and provide facilitation across different stakeholders
  • Act as subject matter expert for the relevant module(s) of NGEMR and liaise withthe NGEMR team to build the modules for WH's use
  • Work with other Process Analysts to build the relevant modules, and providesupport across the entire implementation phase
  • NGEMR role will represent the primary responsibility of the position till implementation
General - Operations
  • Be part of the team that ensures smooth and robust day-to-day operations of theDepartment
  • Spearhead work improvement projects towards improving department efficiency
  • Support the Department / Division in various projects, as well as secretariat supportfor meetings
  • Ops role will gradually become the primary responsibility of the position, from 2024onwards
  • Any other duties as assigned by the reporting office
Job Requirements
  • University Degree
  • At least 2 years of related experience in a similar capacity for Executive
  • At least 4 years of related experience in a similar capacity for Senior Executive
  • Prior experience in relevant aspects of healthcare operations (particularly in bed /medical records management), and / or informatics would be an advantage
  • Healthcare experience is a bonus
  • Ability to plan, organize, supervise and execute
  • Ability to think critically, towards understanding the varied needs and interdependencies among both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills
  • Analytical, innovative thinker and self-driven, with the maturity to work both independently, and with guidance and also in a team
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and manage relationships (internal and external)
  • Forward-thinking mind-set, with the confidence to experiment and innovate while understanding existing concepts and principles
