A Day in the Life
Reporting directly to the CFO, this newly created position of Senior Manager - Strategic Pricing will be responsible for the development and delivery of Pricing Strategy, Performance Objectives and Governance across ANZ.
Building a strong team culture of commercial acumen and partnering closely with Senior Leaders in the ANZ Business you will identify and deliver price optimization opportunities. This role will focus on incremental value creation, implementing focused optimization opportunities, strategic pricing frameworks and driving streamlined governance processes, establishing continuous improvement and growing capability within the team and ANZ business.
Duties of the role will include
  • Develop & maintain Pricing Strategy Framework for ANZ
  • Maintain and Improve Pricing Governance frameworks such as pricing review, corridors, approvals etc
  • Partner with Business Leaders to identify and deliver Price Optimisation Opportunities
  • Partner effectively with Operating Units on product launch pricing, new business models, and other opportunities through strong understanding of the business, excellence in partnering and effective execution.
  • Partner with Strategic Accounts and Reimbursement functions in relation to key initiatives and execution, with value added insights, analysis and modelling
  • Ensure Pricing metrics and KPIs are embedded in the business
  • Upskill ANZ Pricing Capabilities through Training and communication
  • Ensure effective administration, master data management and financial controls over pricing
  • Identify and drive Simplification opportunities to streamline governance processes

Must Haves
  • Several jurisdictions across Australia have established mandatory requirements for healthcare workers and others working in health care settings to be vaccinated with at least two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. To be eligible to apply and be considered for this role, Medtronic Australasia requires candidates to meet the conditions of the relevant and current Government directions (including Public Health Orders). The successful candidate will be required to provide evidence of vaccination before an appointment
  • You must have a University Degree and a Professional qualification is desirable
  • 8-12 years experience in commercially focused roles in a multinational environment, including several years experience managing / leading Pricing function
  • Knowledge of marketing, strategy concepts, financial modeling & negotiation
  • Proven experience & expertise in Strategic Pricing concepts and Pricing Management
  • Strong analytical experience, track record of developing pricing insights from business data
  • Familiarity with key systems -SAP, Vendavo, BI tools
  • Experience Leading a team of direct reports
  • Experience in project management and successful track record of execution
