How Will You Make an Impact
This role is a member of our global supply chain team for Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry (CMD) business. You will engage various countries teams in Asia Pacific to operationalize an effective and efficient sales inventory and operations plan (SIOP) process for our Chromatography Columns and Consumables (CCS) business. You will also provide the data and meaningful insights for conducting our operating cadence and ultimately, to achieve our CMD Goal Tree.
What will you do
Start the monthly global sales inventory and operations plan (SIOP) process in Asia Pacific for Chromatography Columns and Consumables (CCS) business. Working closely with the countries in China, India, Japan and South Korea, you will generate accurate demand signals for our products. You will also collaborate with each country and agree on supply/ inventory plan so as to improve service levels and revenue.
Prepare the Asia Pacific countries for e-commerce introduction and to drive business growth. You will set up the right systems and processes to make the delivery expectation of this business model.
Generate reports and scorecards accurately and timely. These will be used for CMD Operations key performance indicators and also to support the regular reviews/ pulse meetings done at local & global levels.
Be accountable for finished goods part planning in the country hubs. This role will be responsible for the part planning in each country by using appropriate inventory management techniques. The goal is to optimize our service and inventory levels for these parts.
Act as the central point for sale order escalation/ material shortages and work with the supply to provide best service recovery.
The role will also be part of our exciting continuous improvement culture using the Thermo Fisher Practical process improvement (PPI) system.
How will you get here
  • Possesses a bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of tertiary education and work experience.

  • Proven experience (5 years or more) working in supply chain and in a Sales Inventory and Operations planning environment.
  • If you have APICS CPIM qualifications and relevant supply chain project deployment experience, these would be an asset.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Solid process and system expertise.
  • Meticulous with numbers and is confident to make data driven decisions independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 tools e.g. Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI.
  • Working with ERP system (SAP preferred).
  • Able to work evenings on a weekly basis to accommodate global business needs.
