Job Description
To provide technical support in the use of IT and AV resources, including network, email, telephony, meeting software, IT and AV equipment, etc. and deliver reliable, high quality, responsive user centric services.
You will be part of the dynamic team with AV and end-user support role, who is responsible to manage the day to day operational and technical support for faculties and schools, and departments.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform first-level troubleshooting and resolution of reported device, peripheral, operating system, and software issues.
  • Perform setup of devices and peripherals with the necessary configuration such as network, operating system, and software.
  • Perform data wiping for devices such as notebook, desktop, and tablets.
  • Update security by patching for OS, device drivers and peripherals.
  • Escalate and track issue to other IT professionals, external vendor for issues that cannot be resolved and follow up until the issue has been resolved.
  • Assist in documentation for IT assets/equipment and helping in asset verification.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures such as ticketing procedures, asset loan, etc.
  • Provide procedural documentation and relevant reports when necessary
  • Provide AV setup and standby support for meetings, lectures, and other university events (conferences and seminars).
  • To work closely with external vendor for AV/ IT support during events.
  • Perform basic maintenance and ensure audio-video facilities in good operation condition.

  • Minimum Diploma in Infocomm Technology or equivalent.
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other basic tech products.
  • With some knowledge and working experience supporting audio-visual equipment
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • A fast learner and a good team player with passion to apply technology to solve problems.
  • Good communications skill and able to communicate with various level of users.
