Job Purpose
To provide leadership to the Compliance Testing Team in Singapore to drive and support the Group LCS compliance testing objectives
Key Accountabilities
  • Lead, manage and participate in the development and execution of the compliance testing programme
  • Escalate key issues arising from compliance testing and provide value added suggestions on how to address these issues
  • Lead, establish and develop the Bank&rsquos compliance testing methodology and architecture to support the team&rsquos compliance testing mandate
  • Build and foster a compliance testing team that embodies collaboration, curiosity, drive and a growth mindset

Job Duties & responsibilities
  • Lead the development a risk-based program for group-wide compliance testing
  • Manage and ensure resourcing for the execution of the approved program to achieve objectives of the program within the allocated timelines
  • Execute the approved program in accordance to compliance testing methodology while being agile to test new priorities when needed.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Compliance Testing Team for assigned responsibilities within the approved program
  • Identify and highlight risks arising from execution of the approved program and escalate to appropriate stakeholders within LCS or the Bank to ensure that appropriate management attention or actions are taken to mitigate these risks
  • Validate closure of management actions adequately addresses risks arising thereof
  • Drive collaboration with other stakeholders (eg. Audit or overseas LCS) to enhance the efficacy and efficiency of the Compliance Testing Team&rsquos work
  • Manage the relationship with MAS through value add in compliance testing

Growth and Development
  • Pilot and implement methods of testing and/or analytics to increase compliance testing coverage and/or rigour
  • Propose, develop and/or drive team initiatives that will help to develop and improve internal processes and/or final deliverables
  • Propose, develop and/or drive initiatives that will develop and grow the capabilities of the Compliance Testing Team as a team or individually

Required Experience
10 - 12 years of work experience in the financial services industry, at least 5 years with Audit or with Compliance assurance function.
