Job Description

1. Management of network daily activities; incident and problem management; security incident responses and management.
2. Responsible to work with respective countries’ s network team members on the review of network architecture and design, trouble-shooting, as well as to work on the replacement of EOS network system or devices.
3. Responsible to work with the respective server and application teams’ members in trouble-shooting and identify root cause, related to network.
4. Responsible to work with the respective network vendors’ support teams for the trouble-shooting, identification and resolution of network problems.
5. Responsible for network devices, as well as appliances, vulnerability review and assessment.
6. Responsible for network devices, as well as appliances, change implementation review and assessment.
7. Responsible to conduct post implementation review on areas of improvement and tuning.
8. Responsible to conduct and train Level 1 engineers and countries’s network team, i.e. to equipped them with the knowledge to run and maintain Overseas International WAN network.
9. Gather user hosting requirement, do product research, if necessary, of users products, do network assessment and advice various teams for network related requirements.
10. Coordinate with information security governance team to align IT infrastructure with established standards.
11. Ensure system compliance with all established information security policies
12. Perform period health check of network devices.
13. Assist Level 1 Support Engineers during problem determination and resolution whenever necessary.
14. Device Access management
15. Advanced troubleshooting production problems with RCA and fault diagnosis
16. Performance and historical trend analysis
17. Develop processes for improving operational efficiencies, as well as identifies/implements automation tools for existing manual processes.
18. Prepare technical reports, memoranda, and instructional manuals as documentation of network design and operational requirements.
19. Ready to be on call for 24x7 support


Experience

The person should have 8 to 10 years of network engineer experience with the following skills and competencies:
1. Experience in network design and support
2. Experience with Cisco Nexus and Arista switches
3. Knowledge and experience in design, build and trouble-shooting of low latency network architecture.
4. Knowledge and experience in employing and using various networking trace tools, i.e. Sniffer, Wireshark, riverbed net profiler, NetBrain, Gigamon etc.
5. Knowledge and experience in using network management systems, i.e SolarWinds, Nagios, Kibana and etc.
6. Pro-active, dynamic and with good analytical/conceptual thinking.
7. Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal.
8. Hands on expert level knowledge of routing, switching and other network infrastructure technologies such as:
a. BGP, OSPF
b. MPLS, dark fiber
c. DMVPN, IPSec
d. Multicast, unicast, PIM
e. Fabric path, MLAG
f. QOS
g. STP
h. Cisco IWAN
9. Expert level Certifications such as CCIE or equivalent level in networking is a must.
10. Prior experience within network engineering a bonus.
11. Prior experience working as a Regional WAN technical architect and lead role is an advantage.
Education / Preferred Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science
2. 6-8 years of experience in supporting complex banking IT environment or equivalent
